In memory |
At the request of her family, we are saddened to share with you the passing of Miss Cynthia Glover, in her 93rd year, on 13th April 2019.
Many of you will have fond memories of Miss Glover, who taught singing for over a decade at Clifton High School during the 1980s and 1990s. She also had a highly successful professional singing career as a classical soprano vocalist, including many years as resident musical artist for BBC Radio 2’s Friday Night Is Music Night, during the 1970s and 1980s.
Her daughter, Mrs Helen Sutton, was a pupil at Clifton High School and her grandson, Isaac, is currently in his final year of the Sixth Form here.
Miss Glover’s funeral will take place on Wednesday 15th May 2019 at 12.00 Noon at All Saints Church, Pembroke Road, Clifton, followed by a light buffet lunch in church. The family extend a warm welcome to anyone who would like to attend.
