A beautiful oil on canvas of Maceley Cove, Devon by Bristol artist and Clifton High School parent, Gail Reid.
Gail paints and draws all subjects in all media, with a particular interest in contemporary figurative portraiture. This South Devon landscape was painted alla prima, perched on gorse roots overlooking Maceley Cove, with Salcombe nestling in the distance. Gail is a well established and renowned artist, her recent self portrait "Judgement" was selected for the 2022 Royal Portrait Society exhibition.

After a warm welcome onto the beautiful Belmont Estate, with handmade pastries served in the Carriage House, your guide will take you up into Belmont's historic woodland to search for wild edibles and give an overview of what we can expect to find growing wild at this time of year. Now a Clifton High School parent, Sonya was also a student at CHS for 14 years, enjoying both art and ceramics in her studies. On leaving at 18, she was awarded the John James Art prize and went on to study at Bower Ashton College.
In 2014, she combined her love of dance with art and created a 21 piece collection of paintings called 'The Passion Collection'. This was launched at the Grant Bradley Gallery in Bristol and is where 'The Moment' had its first unveiling. The 21 paintings depicted the journey of two salsa dancers, how they initially connected and then grew together in intimacy.
