Graham Hooper's retirement

Graham Hooper has worked at the school for over 40 years seeing many, many members of staff come and go. He worked full time for 30 years and then reduced his hours continuing to work at the school covering the morning rounds for his last 10 years opening up the school, moving parcels, ensuring the school areas were safe, clean and tidy each morning and that the chairs were all laid out ready for the mornings assemblies. We estimate that during his time here, he has moved well over 1 million chairs! He used to finish mid-morning then go on a bike ride to keep himself active. He now intends to increase his time on his bike achieving over 10 miles per day. We all wish him a well earned retirement and we have a picture of him on the wall to remind us of his welcoming early morning smiles which we will truly miss in the years ahead. He lives just down the road in a lovely sheltered accommodation by the college and he knows where we are if ever he needs a helping hand down the line.
