A Premiere Experience at a Premier Event
On Saturday 20th October the Friends of Clifton High held their inaugural Ball in a superbly decorated marquee on the school lawn. Former and current friends joined together in celebration, united in their support of our new venture, as we campaign to fund raise for the Clifton High School Foundation.
Guests were delighted to be welcomed with fire flambeaux and dramatic lighting in beautiful shades of reds and purples, transforming the drive and the magnificent beech tree. Delicious, inspired and mouth-watering canapés were washed down with prosecco, followed by a two course meal prepared by Lulu Elphick-Place and her incredible team, Food by Lulu.
Soulsters, an eight piece jazz band, of like-minded top class musicians in the South-West, ensured that the dance floor was full all night. Mr Charles Lowe, Junior School Teacher, excelled in his role as a highly persuasive auctioneer for the evening. This event raised almost £10,000 for the School’s Foundation fund; an impressive start!
This first class and highly memorable event was orchestrated and managed by dedicated teams across the School including Events, Estates and of course, the Development Office.
