Bristol Cathedral was once again the beautiful setting for our annual Rose Day Service of Thanksgiving, Commemoration and Prizegiving on Saturday 23rd June. Friends of Clifton High joined parents, pupils, staff and dignitaries to mark the end of another highly successful school year.
Former Head Girl and distinguished career diplomat, Mrs Claire Tynte-Irvine, provided an insightful and inspirational address. Other Friends of Clifton High also returned, with former pupil and professional athlete, Miss Lucy Bryan, presenting the Sports Awards and Mr Hugh Stebbing, former Chair of Governors, presenting leadership awards.
The service was a time to reflect, celebrate, reminisce and to say goodbye to our class of 2018; and welcome back former pupils, including the class of 1968 for their 50 Year Reunion
Exceptional performances from musicians and readers resonated throughout the cathedral. Over 150 young people from across the School performed in an array of choirs, as soloists or as members of the Orchestra. The morning culminated with a drinks reception in the glorious sunshine. A fitting end to this landmark event in the Clifton High School calendar.
